More holiday cheer: Snowman Watercolor for Tags and Decorations

This is my favorite of the new Holiday Tags that I painted this year.
Watercolor in Moleskin journal with Micron pens and felt markers. December 2009.
It snowed last week 20 miles from Nashville but not a flake here. We talked to our friends in East Tennessee yesterday and they had three inches on their farm near Roan Mountain. Must be beautiful!

Several years ago I made a set of these for my sister. They are vintage Dutch Girl 7 days of the week drawings that I hand colored. I thought this one for Saturday of baking would make a great Holiday Tag. I miss being able to bake for Christmas. Just not enough energy for that. But my daughter and husband fill in putting together some of our holiday favorites.

  1. I love your snowman Judy. I hate that you don't feel well enough to bake this year. This just means you have something to look forward to next year. Cheers....

  3. Judy your art is so warm and happy...I just LOVE the little baking girls. I guess somehow it gave me a flash to the past...the Baker Girl on Baking Soda package is it? Not sure.

Save your strength and let the big kids do the work. You just smell the kitchen baking smells and be queen in the background. You can be the royal taster! Every kitchen needs one of those!
    Hugs from me.

  4. Love your snowman!! And, yes! Do play Queen of the house - you've more than earned it! Besides, speaking from experience, it feels so good for those who are pitching in that they have a shot at making you feel warm and well taken care of - just like you've always do for them :)
